The benefits of having live chat on your website

Live chat is the informal sales assistant of the digital world – there to help boost customer confidence by answering quick questions about products and services without submitting a formal email request.

How effective is it?

This research study – “Making Proactive Chat Work” was conducted by Forrester Research and it found the following:

“Many online consumers want help from a live person while they are shopping online; in fact, 44% of online consumers say that having questions answered by a live person while in the middle of an online purchase is one of the most important features a Web site can offer.”

There was also an e-marketer.com survey that showed that 63% of customers were more likely to return to a website that offers live chat. The survey goes on to say:

“62% reported being more likely to purchase from the site again. A further 38% of respondents said they had made their purchase due to the chat session itself. All these attitudes were even more prevalent among respondents who bought online at least weekly.”

This convenience creates a more inviting shopping experience and has a direct impact on customer satisfaction giving you an edge over your competition and driving sales up. Customers are much more likely to return to websites where they know that they are going to receive the support they need with minimal effort.

What is it, really?

Ultimately, live chat is a real-time messaging system – between you and your customers, your team and your customers or a third party and your customers depending on what level of support you need. They range from free services (with a small setup and installation charge) to subscription-based services depending on your needs and budget. The chat window can be fully branded for an additional cost or might have some branding for the provider – we are very open with our supplier partnerships and you’ll notice that we leave the branding on our live chat windows.

Importance of Facebook and Twitter for Businesses

If you are thinking about getting your business on social media then you certainly have a lot to think about. After all, you need to think about how you are going to convey your brand and how you are going to come across to your customers. A lot of people, on the other hand, don’t understand the importance of social media and how it can benefit them, and this is a real problem because it could be hindering sales, profit, and valuable leads. Take a look below to find out more about the importance of Facebook and Twitter for business.

Facebook

Studies show that you need to post to Facebook at least once a day if you want to see the best results. It doesn’t matter whether you own a local coffee shop or whether you are an e-commerce giant, your followers and likes aren’t related to your industry, they are related to your company and how you engage your customers so this is certainly something that you need to keep in consideration. If you do this well, you can expect to see a rise in all your business statistics and you may even find that your customers trust in you more as well.

Twitter

Twitter is a social media giant but a lot of people don’t know how often they should post to the social media site. Studies show that three times a day is the optimal amount and you’d be surprised at what wonders this can work for your site. You may find that customers come to you more for help and advice and you may also find that they are willing to advertise your site for you by re-tweeting your posts to their friends and network base. This is priceless publicity, and if you’re not on social media, you really need to give it a second thought.

The Importance of Blogs

If you own a website then you will certainly understand the importance of having a quality ranking. It doesn’t matter whether you own a local coffee shop or a corporate e-commerce store with thousands of products, your ranking on Google will determine how many customers you get and how many people visit your site, not to mention that it could also decide whether or not you’re successful in the world of internet marketing.

Get all of the love!

Google loves fresh content, in fact, all search engines do! Of course, it can be difficult to change your website content on a weekly basis, and this is where blogs come in. Blogs allow you to optimise certain keywords for your business while also helping you to increase your ranking. This is vitally important, especially if there is a lot of competition in the field. After all, if your rivals are ahead of you on the ranking system, they will most likely be getting most of your traffic, and this is something that you want to avoid at all costs.

A little often is the key

By posting just once a week, you can help to avoid all of this while also making sure that your customers have plenty of reading material when they visit your site. Your blogs can be about anything and everything, and they can be written in any tone and style so you can have complete creative control over your site and the impression that you leave on your customers.

So do you want to see an increase in your ranking? Maybe you just want to get ahead of your competition, either way, blogs are certainly the way forward and they can really work wonders for your business and your site.

There’s no time like the present

Why not start a blog today? By posting just once a week, you too could be among the top companies on Google!

The Advantages of Outsourcing Social Media Management

If you have a social media account but you simply don’t have the time to manage it then you’ll find that it gets pushed back to the end of your priority list. You may also find that your account remains inactive for long periods of time, and this is something that you want to avoid at all costs. Your customers will think that you don’t care about the image of your company and they may not contact you if they don’t think you check your messages. When you outsource your social media accounts, however, you don’t need to worry about any of this and there are certainly many benefits available. Look below to find out more.

No Time Restrictions

You don’t need to make time in order to post and you don’t need to worry about posting at the optimal time either. You will also find that you do not need to spend your days planning tweets or replying to messages and on top of this, you don’t need to worry about advertising your page to other users either. Your social media management company will do all of this for you, and this is just one of the many benefits that they can offer you.

Endless In-depth Knowledge

Social media companies know exactly how to deliver results and they are very efficient in everything that they do. This is great because it means that you don’t need to analyse what tweets work and what tweets don’t. They already know and this is priceless when you look at it from a publicity point of view. You will also find that they can work with you to develop a social media plan as well, so there really aren’t any limits to the services that they provide.
