Meet Scout: Know Who’s on Your Site Before They Leave

3rd July 2026

Around 97% of website visitors never fill in a form. If you sell to other businesses, that means the companies already interested in you are browsing your pricing page and leaving without a trace, while your sales team spends its time on cold outreach. Scout, the visitor-intelligence tool we designed and run for our clients, closes that gap. The application was built by our software partner Swarm Labs; Spotlight designed it and runs the infrastructure it sits on. You can read the full build story in our Scout case study.

Know who’s on your site, before they leave

Drop in a single snippet (it takes about five minutes) and Scout identifies the companies visiting your website, enriches them with the right contacts, and scores each one by buying intent. Every match comes with a confidence score and a plain-English reason, like “they viewed /pricing four times and the case-studies page“, so your team can judge each lead on evidence, not a black-box number.

See the company

Anonymous visits are resolved to real businesses (industry, size and location) with honest confidence scoring. Company-level identification only: no tracking of individuals.

Understand the intent

Search queries from Search Console, pages viewed and return visits combine into an intent score, so the accounts most likely to buy rise to the top of the feed.

Act while it’s warm

Watchlists, Slack and email alerts, and HubSpot sync push hot accounts straight to your team, so you can reach out the same day, not next quarter.

Honest by design

We built Scout around one principle: no inflated lead counts. If Scout isn’t sure, it says so. Matches carry HIGH, MEDIUM or LOW confidence, ISP and bot traffic is flagged automatically rather than dressed up as a lead, and the reasons behind every score are spelled out. It’s the same evidence-first approach we bring to our SEO work: numbers you can defend, not numbers that flatter.

Scout works beautifully alongside a Spotlight-managed website: we wire it into Google Analytics 4 and Search Console during onboarding, so the intent signal starts flowing on day one.

Getting started

Scout is available now, from a free 14-day trial with plans from £249/month: one snippet, one tracked domain, everything included. The Scout service page has plans and a comparison table, or you can order directly through the client portal.
