Will I need a new website?

The short answer is no but this might depend on your current website infrastructure – if you already have a website built on an up-to-date and popular CMS (such as WordPress) then likely the answer is no – we should be able to build an eCommerce infrastructure directly into your website.

We are recommending to have a new website built, however we can also build a shop website into a subdirectory or subdomain, leaving your existing website in place and untouched.

What are we offering?

We are offering a website for as much as you are willing to donate for 6 months. No strings attached. We’ll even host it for you. We’re not here to profit from the current global climate, we just want to make sure that we do everything in our power to support as many businesses as we can.

I don’t even have a website – does this apply to me?

Yes – absolutely! If you are not currently online then we will happily spin up a basic brochure site for you.

What are the restrictions?

Of course, there are limits to what we are able to do with this offer – we’ll build a simple home page and infrastructure for you to add and manage your own products / services, based on your existing branding and within a reasonably standard design. We won’t be allowing custom development however if you would like something specific then please get in touch and we can provide a quote.

We’ll be requesting content and images and then providing you with some simple resources to help you manage the news / blog and shop pages yourselves.

This is a limited offer and we’ll be taking requests on a case by case basis, with a priority going to those most in need.

Can I take payments online?

Yes! Of course! There are a number of recognised payment gateways available, PayPal and Stripe are two of the most popular (and most trusted) that we would recommend highly but there are an array of other options too, if you have any  specific requirements.

Integrating a payment gateway into a website will involve additional security and development costs so a small monthly payment will apply – we’re thinking £50/mo to keep it affordable.

What happens after 6 months?

Not happy with our service? No problem – we won’t be requesting any additional payments and we can part ways.

If you would like to continue using the website then we will simply charge your a low monthly charge of £50-£200 depending on your support, hosting and security requirements. If you would like us to further develop the website then we can quote separately for this at any time, or roll this into your monthly payments so that there is no upfront investment required.
